I WAS A WEE BIT BRAVE TODAY.
At the SPCA where I do so many hours a week one of the men there and me were discussing a TV programme that was on last night here in NZ called Close Up.
It dealt with conspiracys.

He was really very well up on his Theories, this is the first time we have ever discussed anything like this we are usually too busy with all the animals.
He happened to mention George Bush and the fact that he was a liar and in it up to his neck on 911,and HE'S A Haha CHRISTIAN!

I swallowed and said,"Iam a christian."
he sunk into himself and looked kinda spooked.

"I have to tell you that Iam a christian and I question George Bush's membership of a secret society so secret he said he can't talk about it.What is a christian doing belonging to a secret society?"

He relaxed and continued to chat with me,he has so much pent up in him that he wants to talk.

I felt a wee bit brave saying I was a christian in an awkard moment and I shall continue to listen to this young man and somehow at some point bring salvation into the picture oneday soon.

Excellent! I think talking about conspiracies and Christianity go hand-in-hand. I always try to work my faith in unless I sense I've lost them already and they think I'm crazy and my mentioning Jesus would make Him look bad, coming from me. Well done, MrsHayseed. Sounds like he's thirsting for truth.

Yeah but Lynne no matter what they perceive about christianity it is in their head. What do THEY THINK A CHRISTIAN IS???...I have found them to think we need a crutch,we are like they see on TV worshippers waving our hands crying to christian rock music,or christians want money etc.
It is no reflection on you you know when they think your'e nuts..they are uncomfortable to find you do have a mind. They think we can't think for ourselves.

well,I didn't do that much really.I just swallowed and said Iam a christian when it was uncomfortable to do so.
Just a wee bit brave.
I doubt I'd ever be a martyr except in my dreams.

Yes, but MrsH, what ya do either makes the Lord smile or frown! Start out faithful in the little things and the Lord will give you more - like more conversations. Maybe He's just testing you right now to see how much more He can give!

Amen Dear sister!

Before I was saved, I believed the myth that born again Christians are mind-numbed robots, with no personality. I saw people like that, and didn't want to be that way.

When William first witnessed to me, I was surprised that he was a born again Christian, because he didn't fit the stereotype that I had accepted. He was an individual, a regular person who enjoyed life and living, but still had love for His Saviour, and that intrigued me.

Sometimes when you disprove the stereotype, it can lead to a witnessing opportunity.

God bless you!

Sister, your "wee bit brave" is a wee bit braver than we see out of a large percentage of folks who claim to know Christ.

The anecdotes you share about your witnessing are a real encouragement, y'know that? Smile
