For the same reason I left out 3 and 4 - to try to discourage worldly answers.

Answer 'em! Come on, now!

1. Serendipitous.

It's fun to use, because I know when I say it everyone is busy thinking about the word itself rather than the sentence I said.

2. Dude.

So over used, dude, really.

3. My little girls screaming in the back of our already claustrophobic Saturn.

4. My little girls quietly whispering or singing in the back of the car.

5. Full time writer.

6. Any one of those jobs on "dirty jobs" that have to do with poop in one way or another. Gross.

7. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

I'm sorry, I missed that part.

Sound I hate: a child coughing
Sound I love: thunder

Bagpipes made me laugh, because I HATE bagpipes. Half the time you can hardly tell what they're playing, and they're so crazy loud. The only thing bagpipes are good for is playing Amazing Grace!

Obviously you haven't heard "Be Thou My Vision" played by Bagpipe, Fife, and Snare Drum. Or perhaps my heritage pre-disposes me to appreciate the fare instrument that mimics a dog killing a cat. When I hear the pipes, something deep inside begins to stir. Or maybe that's just the old pizza from the night before.
