I'd like to have some input on the following letter. Does it make sense, do I need to add, subtract, or change anything before I send it to all my friends? I will be posting it to my blogspot, facebook, and emailing it to a few others. All verses are KJB.
I am writing this to you because you are my friend and I really care about you. As my friend, I ask that you please read this letter to the very end.
On December 8, 1979 I was born into the Pilger family. I was the firstborn child to my mom, Nancy Le Pilger, and Michael Lynn Pilger. My parents brought me up in a local Baptist church and taught me about Jesus. Seven years later (I don't remember the date, but I know it was on a weekday in the evening), I told my mom I wanted to get saved. She had my dad take me into their room and explain to me God's perfect plan of Salvation. From the KJB Bible, my dad showed me why I needed to be saved, how to get saved, and how to know that I was saved. I want to show you this too.
Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" all means everyone. That means me, you, your pastor, your best friend: everyone. Romans 6:23 tells us the penalty of "sin is death:" This death is not just you die and lay in the ground forever; when you die, if your not saved you go to a place called Hell. But Romans 6:23 goes on to say that God has a gift for us. This gift is "eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." According to Romans 5:8 this gift came to be because God showed us his love, because even though we are sinners, "Christ died for us." He paid the ultimate price for our sins. It's His blood that "cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7) There is something we must do to receive this gift though. Romans 10:9 says we must "confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead," and when you do this you will "be saved."
There are many verses that tell you that when you believe you "shall be saved" (John 10:9) Acts 2:21, Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9, and 1 John 5:12-13 are just a few of them. If you want to see the whole verses for yourself, please use a KJB Bible.
If you believe this and have never accepted this gift, I pray that you will and soon. I believe our time here on earth is very short. All you have to do is let God know that you are a sinner, that you want His forgiveness and believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. He is in Heaven now waiting and wanting you to ask Him for this precious gift before He returns to take all who do believe home. I believe and I am ready. If you want someone to talk to, you can contact me or find a Bible believing pastor (a Baptist would probably be best).
If you are already a believer, Praise the Lord, this is being sent to you so that you may send it to your family and friends who may either need to believe or send it to those who need to hear and then believe.
