The Day of the LORD, the Day of God's Wrath

2Pe:3:8: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ge:2:4: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

The LORD God made all that has been created in six days, He rested from His works on the seventh. It has been close to six thousand years of human history, yet because of HIS LONGSUFFERING, he delayeth his coming, because the MEN of God have failed to bring the GOSPEL unto the world, and because the Christians have failed to love one another and their fellow man. Many, many evil men have perverted OUR Gospel, the Gospel of Peace, the Gospel of the atoning BLOOD of CHRIST and of the POWER of HIS HOLY SPIRIT. Nevertheless HE is MERCIFUL ABOVE ALL. Yet our great GOD has a plan, He has an order, He has All wisdom and power and glory. He has revealed HIS plan in His Holy Word, the blessed KING JAMES Bible, that many neglect, the Bible that many ATTACK. Shall not God visit His people for these things? Shall he not repay upon those that DARE accuse us? Doth judgment not begin at the HOUSE of God, the born-again Church, HIS people? Shall HE forget ISRAEL, his WIFE? God forbid, hallelujah, HE will never forsake His Bride the Church, nor His Wife Israel.

In the sixth day HE created man upon this earth. In seven years HE will purify man upon the earth. The gathering of US UNTO HIMSELF will mark the beginning of the day of God's wrath in which HE will pour out His fury upon those that DARE assume to lift a Hand against the daughter of my people. And when WE return with him in Glory, WE shall indeed USHER in the Millennial Kingdom, of our Savior, but the Gospel MUST FIRST BE PREACHED UNTO ALL THE NATIONS, and THEN, only THEN, the End will come. WE the born-again believers MUST DO everything in our power to show the LOVE of God unto our fellow man, to LET THEM KNOW that THEY have a SAVIOR, and HIS NAME is JESUS. The day of God's wrath shall be the day where Man WILL KNOW UPON THE EARTH, that THERE IS A GOD in ISRAEL, a jealous God who will NOT GIVE HIS GLORY unto another. And thus the Day of God's Wrath shall be a literal period upon this earth in which HE will judge the nations because His wrath was kindled but a little. And HE is a consuming FIRE.

OHHHHH and how I rejoice, and dance, and sing the praises of OUR Savior, that WE are not appointed Unto WRATH but to obtain SALVATION by the BLOOD of the LAMB of God who was slain from the foundation of the world.

Brother, I agree with you all the way, but you know that verse is not doctrinally talking about now? remember, paul preached the gospel of the grace of god. Our gospel has nothing to do with "enduring to the end." (mat. 24:13). This passage has something to do with the tribulation-vs. 21, and the second adv.-vs29. Kind of like the message john preached early on- "repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand." In rev. 14 an angel is preaching the "everlasting gospel", and is not cursed (see galatians 1:8). this is probably the same message of the 144,000 male virgin jews that are sealed and running around during the tribulation, along with the two witnesses in rev. 11 (moses and elijah).
you might already know all this, in which case, sorry, but it never hurts to check.

Which nations haven't heard that Gospel yet? There are 208 soccer playing nations in FIFA. Which ones have never had a gospel witness before?

Matt 26:13, Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

I have never mentioned the woman of Matt 26 when I witness. Should I be? No. So this obviously connects to a different gospel and it is probably connected to Mark 13:10. Right?

With the internet, I don't think there are many who have not had some sort of witness, plus the heavens declare the Glory of God, and His handywork, Psalm 19:1 .

And no one is without excuse, because God has made Himself clear to men and those things that are made, Romans 1:18-23

As I see it (and I know I certainly could be wrong!), Jesus is talking about His death and burial in these verses (especially verse 2 and 12), which seems to me is part of "Paul's gospel" (see 1 Corinthians 15).

About the woman: she has her memorial, in Matthew 26, and millions have heard of her through the 'gospel' of Matthew.

Now, I'll let some of the more "heavyweight" scholars weigh in.

Wow! Soccer is more popular than I thought, although I knew that it's the most popular sport on earth. There are only 192 countries in the U.N.!

It's hard for me to believe that any of these countries have never heard the gospel. I know that all the formerly Communist nations heard it; the Islamic nations try to ban it, but modern communications make this almost impossible. The nations haven't heard it adequately, and there will always be a need for missions, but at some point, in some way, they've all heard the saving gospel of the grace of God, which Paul preached. Of course, every new generation needs to hear it again: hence the need for missions, or native churches started by missionaries.

But Matthew 24:14 is, as you know, a Tribulation passage, and refers to "the Gospel of the Kingdom." It's not the same audience or the same dispensation, and it's a different gospel. That's not a violation of Gal. 1:8, 9, which refers to the Church Age.

Beats me! I don't think that it's necessary to preach the woman's actions in order to preach the Gospel; the passage only says that wherever (not whenever) the gospel is preached, she'll be remembered. I take this to mean that, if I start a new church at the South Pole, I'll eventually get around to preaching about her.

But I chickened out and looked it up in Ruckman's Commentary on Matthew. He says that the verse is a "sphinx," and awaits further light. I'm afraid it won't be coming from me!

I keep in mind, also, that perhaps during the Millenial Kingdom of Christ the Gospel will still be preached unto people? Could that also be possible? I mean, many, many people will be born during that time,(for God told man to fill the earth, and maybe it will be at that time that his word would be fulfilled) and besides the redeemed, those who were raptured and those who participated in the first resurrection who had been made in the image of Christ, those born during that time will have their sin nature still in them, even though the Devil will be shut up in his prison for the 1000 years of the millenium. How do we otherwise understand that after Satan's release he goes on to once again deceive the nations to gather them against God's people at the battle of Gog and Magog? Their numbers as the sand of the seashore?

I am now thinking that that is what Jesus meant, when he said that this "gospel of the KINGDOM shall be preached unto all the nations and then the end will come".

Could he have meant, all the way through his Millenial Kingdom? Till the end of all things?

Just a thought...for it is indeed something that I don't fully understand.

I thought that sinful men could not thwart God's timetable?
Would that not put man in the driver's seat?
Would I be off base to say that sounds like Dominionism?

You're quite right dear sis, for I do believe to have read somewhere in the OT, that they shall all know the LORD. Yet some DO rebel after the Millenial Kingdom of Christ, as that stinkin' good for nothing Devil goes out to deceive the nations once again. So I am left wondering....

If they all know the LORD, why do they yet rebel? I just shows, at least in mine own understanding, that even after one thousand years of peace and prosperity, some who will be born at that time, will still choose to rebel against the Living God, thereby showing that they had never been born again in the first place. It just proves once again the fallen nature of our human hearts.

That is why I thought that perhaps the words of our Lord, concerning THE END, may have meant even after the Millenial Kingdom of Christ, truly Christ Jesus is God, declaring the END from the BEGINNING.
