The blotting has to do with there being a record in Heaven of our existence for eternity. If we are saved it stays in the book, but if a person hasn't been saved the record of their name/existence is blotted out of that book.

Gary

Maybe, kinda. (How's that for an answer?) Their name is blotted out, but certainly not their existence, because they'll exist forever in Hell. I'm sure that God, being omniscient, is not going to forget that they ever existed, or forget that they're in Hell.

But then, I may be wrong. There are some things that God does forget: like our sins. (Thank you, Lord!) How He manages to forget them, when we remember them, is a mystery that may never be revealed: because, when we see Him, if we ask, "God, how could you forget about that guy I killed?" He'll reply, "What guy?"

Somebody needs to do a study on God's forgetfulness, or the things God forgets.

As for your question, brother, I'm just not sure. I'm not sure that it's explained in Scripture; or, if it is, nobody's found the explanation yet.

OK existence is not a good word for what I am talking about. How about "record of their living" kind of like gone with no trace. God remembers them but no one else will. Think about it no more Hitler, Stalin and other known for their evil. Not that when we get there we will care, we will be with Jesus for ever.

Not Trying to be argumentative, just enjoying thinking this out in my head and discussing it.
Please brethren, do not let our souls be troubled over all this. I now give MINE opinion;

I personally believe that every fetus that is conceived in the womb after the similitude of Adam, is without sin, because they have NO KNOWLEDGE of sin. And thus their names being written in the Lamb's book of life (Our Creator). Once we are born and grow to what people believe to be the "age of accountability" mainly being the knowledge of sin, then our names are removed from the Lamb's book of life. And let us consider brethren the lessons we learn from God's creation, as we see our children grow, and SEE that we do not have to teach them to lie, or to be selfish, for All of those things come by the nature of our fallen estate, and thus the NEED for a New birth according to the Word of God.....

Please notice how harmonious our KJB is after doing a search of "born again" by using the computer Bible that I recommended;

Joh:3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh:3:7: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
1Pe:1:23: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
