I don't like TV, and I rarely watch DVDs/Videos, but I was wondering...if you do watch video of some sort, what do you like to watch?
I heard the Halleluia Chorus on the radio this morning, and it brought me back to a scene from "The Greatest Story Ever Told": in the scene, Lazarus is raised from the dead, and as the apostles and followers of Jesus race to spread the news that the Messiah is here, the music swells and grows.
Anyway, I am blessed by watching it. I will probably rewatch the movie over the Christmas holiday.
Who's next?
I'm watching
Bleak House by Charles Dickens on DVD. I'm loving it.
"Brilliantly modern and essentially Dickensian..." The London Telegraph
"...this glorious adaptation transforms soap opera into art." The London Times

I rarely watch television; I used to watch a lot of political stuff, but weaned myself off it. This year I only watched Palin's speech at the Convention, and then the election returns, until they became too depressing.
I watch boxing when I'm connected to cable; otherwise, I don't.
As for DVDs, it's all movies - - - although I watch them infrequently, maybe once every month.
The most recent was "Gran Torino" with Clint Eastwood, a couple of months ago.
I
like movies, but I just find myself watching less and less television.
I'd love to have the boxed sets of the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes, and "Twin Peaks," but even if I had them, I don't know how much I'd watch them.
A DVD I really, really liked (enough to buy my own copy) is The Painted Veil.
It's from the W. Somerset Maugham novel. I like Maugham, but haven't read this book, so I may in the future. To me, the film is about finding true love in marriage. Probably a chick flick. PG-13. Gorgeous music from one of my favorite composers, stunning photography, period costumes, a struggle ultimately arriving at true marital love.

Ah yes,true marital love,...

My better half has the remote surgically joined to her left hand, so I just 'go for the ride', Walton's, I Love Lucy, Y & R, Biggest Looser, Walton's, then more reruns of the Walton's.

I am addicted to tv and movies. it helps me not freak out so much. It calms me down, and gives me something else to think about.
Currently i watch V, Castle, Fringe, Legend of the seeker, The mentalist.
I have wanted to see Bleak House for awhile becasue of Gillian anderson who was scully in X-files. I loved X-files.
I have the entire series of JAG.
I would have prolly hundreds of dvds but I keep gettin rid of them when I try to be a better christian. It never lasts long though before I start buying stuff back though.
again, because my dh just read
which is about her and he wants to revisit the film.
