(I just noticed the 'crucifix' on the cover...I'm not sure why they used it, go figure...)
That crucifix is weird. I don't remember any Catholics in the first series. Demelza's dad "got religion" is all I can think of. The second season is just out on DVD, but given our situation at the moment, I've put in on my wish list.

In the last few years Jeremiah has gotten too evangelical; especially using the new versions (he often quotes from "The Message"), but he's on the radio during my drive to work and his preaching is still better than most radio preachers. He has been preaching a series from subject book and it has been quite interesting. He ties the coming one world government with a world economic system. He also talks about the antichrist. For many here who have read and studied behind folks like Ruckman there may not be anything new in this book, but Jeremiah does a good job of tying the coming one world government, economy, religion and the anti-christ together. I don't think you will be dissappointed if you buy the book except that Jeremiah is not KJB only. That being said compared to what most "popular Christian personalities" are preaching and writing about these days this book is refreshing.

I did not know that Dr David Jeremiah ever quoted from the message that is a real shame. My husband enjoyed his series on the Antichrist on TV.Most Sunday evenings he watches Dr Jeremiah so I shall keep this under my hat about him using the message at times as it would spoil it for him.
Yes I got my husband a daily devotional by Jeremiah and it is very good.
This book would include most of what he dealt with on the television series.
About an hour ago on Facebook, Laurie R. King said she has a firm publication date of September 6, 2011 for Pirate King. It's going to take a lot for me to like pirates; I'm not at all sure Mary Russell can do it.
Last night I was 'under the weather', and didn't want a challenging read, so I picked up an old favorite:

The title character in the story is my favorite of all the Louis L'Amour characters: William "Tell" Sackett. It was a good, relaxing read, and just what I needed.
