Thank you for the welcome....all of you. I am not very savvy with forums (this is my first time to write on one) but thought I owed you a thanks for the welcome. I am 48 years old and married to a wonderful Texan. Your probably thinking ???? Can that be... :-)
We prayed for over 15 years for children and went through all the "Specialist"....they said for $20,000 we can "make it happen......maybe". We left off with the doctors and 2 more years of prayer and tears still nothing. One day while I was preaching I looked down to see my dear wife on the altar crying and praying after a message on does God have everything...everything means letting go of your deepest desires....your dreams ..... your alabaster box. Well, I got down there beside her and we both cried and prayed and told God we didn't want a child if He didn't want us to have one. Two weeks later we found out we were going to have a baby. She is 15 months now and her brother is due in 3 weeks. What a Christmas!
One great thing we got to do was go back to the "Specialist" and he made a bad mistake when he said "Well, mother nature had different plans" before he could get another word out or before I could open my mouth, my dear Texan lit up like a Christmas tree! She preached the most wonderful message I have ever heard on...Not mother nature but Father God!
Well, by now you may realize I am a preacher and in no way ashamed of it.
My salvation testimony would take all day so let me say this. I went to a church in Florida after some nagging little old gray haired lady "bugged" me til I gave in. The preacher preached a whole message on Hell! I couldn't sleep for 3 nights 'cause of the flames in my eyes. I called the preacher to come show me how to be saved. He did and I got saved. I have been a pastor for 9 years and by God's wonderful grace will preach til he comes back or takes me home!
Thank you again for the welcome and if you write me and don't hear anything its because I don't know how to get it. I will have to figure this thing out....any help is appreciated.

We're very glad to have you here! I hope you'll enjoy the forum, and find it a place of edification and relaxation. This is one place where your chosen nickname will not be held against you: although not every member was familiar with Brother Ruckman when they came here, we're all united in our devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and the absolute, unique authority of God's perfect word, the King James Bible.
We started this place with a specific purpose in mind: not to create yet another internet battlefield, or a debating society, but a safe and happy pasture for the lambs and sheep, where they can be free of attack from Bible correctors, and free to enjoy their Saviour, His word, and each other. We strive for a balance between meaty, edifying stuff, spiritual fellowship, and sometimes (often!) just plain silliness.
There are quite a few of the PBI brethren here: I graduated in 1989. But Brother Ruckman isn't the center of our fellowship: the Lord Jesus Christ, and His word, is.
I look forward to your participation. By the way, the real strength of this forum is its prayer support: we've prayed each other (and are praying each other) through many crises. Please don't hesitate to share your requests with us, big or small.
We're so happy you're here!
