(09-17-2010 05:58 PM)Here Am I Wrote: [ -> ]I am not allowed to download a Bible search program at work, so while I am 'at lunch', I usually do my Bible searches using software available online.
Recently my most favorite one was 'upgraded', and now I have to register in order to use it. I don't want to do that, so I'm searching for an alternative.
Can you recommend an online Bible/Bible Search program? I don't need all the bells and whistles, I just want to be able to search the OT/NT (individual books or ranges would be great!) and be able to browse the books as well.

There are two that I use. One is called Theophilos
http://www.theophilos.sk/
This program is very basic and I like the interface. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that when you do a word search and misspell a word, it doesn't auto-correct for you. It just says that it can't find it.
The other is called e-sword

This one has a lot of additional stuff that you can download to go with it. It has many different Bible versions which comes in very handy when doing version comparisons. The only problem is that most of them are from older translations that aren't used any more, like the ASV, RV, etc. But most of the newer corruptions still use the same material so they can come in handy. There are also books, dictionaries, maps and many other things.
I have them both and if I want to do a sermon or forum stuff and need a verse, I'll use the cut and paste from Theophilos. If I'm checking other more technical stuff, I use e-sword.

I use
swordsearcher.

It will give you what you want, and more.
God bless!
I use swordsearcher as well and would highly recommend it.

Here is one I use Sister.

It has lots of features and you don't have to join to use it.
Also Bible Analyzer is one you can install to a jump/usb drive (I think you mentioned buying one when you got your new computer.) and run it from there with no install to the actual machine.
Jump/USB/Flash drives are all same thing pretty much. About size of a pack of gum, plug into a usb port. Can get them cheap. I think Wal Mart carries good 1 gig ones for about 10 bucks. Brand name is San Disk. I have two I carry with me to dialysis. one has all of the BBB issues on it as well as reading material, the other is my music and sermons. I just bough a 16 gig not too long for about 40.00.
1 gig is about all you would need for Bible Analyzer. Another nice feature is you can save your notes to the jump drive.
