We should be okay where we live, just outside the 'warning/watch' area:

Please pray for those affected, and that there is no loss of life with this storm.
We'll be fine. Ordinarily, I'd say that we don't have any right to squall (good weather term) about hurricanes, with so many of our brethren and sistren in Pensacola; but this forum has a huge number of peeps in North Carolina, too ...
Anyway, I like stormy weather.
Thanks for the info. I've been wondering (okay, worrying) about y'all.
That's why I posted it, Lynne, so none of you would 'worry'.
Where we're at, we have a tropical storm warning, but I only expect we'll get some wind and rain, nothing to be overly concerned about.
I put a rock on top of my garbage can lid, so it doesn't fly open, and the lighter objects in the yard are put away.

There are seven of us, including Here Am I and myself, living in this wretched little town of Greenville, North Carolina. (Seven in the forum, I mean; the town itself is a bit larger.) We're pretty far east. If we don't get anything bad (and we won't), our members in the rest of the state will probably be okay, too.
It was a blustery day (I was unsure of that word, but Laura says it's the right one), but it's nearly 10:00 p.m., and not a single drop of rain has fallen.
It rained a little during the night, but there was not a single flash of lightning nor peal of thunder. Forecasts are for a high of 95 today.
I told you so.
Thank you for your concern, Lynne.
