The author, Larry Klayman, is simply throwing a temper tantrum because his preferred candidate, Pamela Gorman, didn't win the primary. (And he went out of his way to take a cheap shot at Sarah Palin to do it.) Having read up on it, I think that Gorman was a far superior candidate. But, at the end of the day, either Quayle or Gorman would be likely, if elected, to consistently vote "no" on all of Obama and Pelosi's proposals. If elected, Quayle (or Gorman) would be one of 435 votes in the House. As a freshman member, and a conservative at that, neither of them would be tapped for choice Committee assignments, much less any real leadership roles within the House. In two years, the incumbent will be defeated or reelected on the basis of his or her constituent service to the people of the district.
Neither one of these people is gonna turn this country around. Neither is Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney. Klayman shouldn't make this campaign sound like the Twilight of the Gods.
