In the words of Dr. Ruckman, "There's only two flavors of ice cream, chocolate and vanilla."

Au contraire, my brother. Dr. Ruckman categorically states that vanilla is the only flavor of ice cream, and that anything else is a "frozen dessert" or something. I hope you won't make me look up this quote, but I've heard him say it a hundred times. Other of his former students in this forum will no doubt bear me out. He may like chocolate, just as he likes popcorn; but he does not call popcorn "ice cream." He does say that, just as vanilla is the only genuine ice cream, chocolate is the only genuine candy.
Vanilla ice cream doesn't do much for me, except in a float, like a Coke Float. I prefer strawberry ice cream.

I never considered vanilla having much of a flavor.. I always have to put something on it.

Then you haven't had good vanilla ice cream.
Try an 'all natural' brand, like Breyers, where they use real vanilla beans.
This weekend I had real pistachio ice cream, made fresh from real milk from real cows, at a 'dairy bar' at an agricultural university. Oh, it was wonderful.

Oooooh, Bibelleauwer, new tradition: I think for Chocolate Day this year, you need to send me some 'real' chocolate from overseas! Not this USA stuff.
(I am liking the sound of this new tradition already! Te he...)

Wish I knew that earlier, than I'd given brother Duke some chocolate to give you when he passes by (is he already there or does he still has to come?)
Will you please, please say hi to him. We will be in his church again next weekend and my dh will preach then. We're looking very much forward to that.
Hm and if I send you chocolate I know some others who would like some... "mr Achmed-Achmed" for starters and then those 2 very lovely ladies working at "some bookstore"
