Well I took the plunge. I downloaded and burned the ISO of Isadora. Using my external DVD I converted my net book to Linux. It is the only pure linux machine in the house since my tower is still dual boot.
Only problem was the Broadcom driver for my wireless. But I found info on how to get it working online. and now I am surfing with ease.
Thanx Daniel for the encouragement. The feeling of accomplishment is amazing.

Sometimes proprietary hardware can be a real pain and BroadComm did not want to play well with others for several years. Sometimes the drivers work well and other times it takes some tweaking.
I'm glad you got it working, that is awesome! I think you will really enjoy it. I'm experimenting with some really neat programs right now.
If you get bored and want to see something awesome, check out "stellarium", it is a planetarium program that gives you a very accurate star chart for your exact location.
