Balaam by the Spirit of The Lord prophesies against Balak King of the Moabites and refuses to curse Israel, which was what Balak was attempting to have Balaam do.He instead blesses Israel thrice, and pronounces this prophecy:
17I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
Now one could conclude that this is a blanket pronouncement and denouncing of these peoples as enemies of israel.
One could also conclude that the anti-christ could emerge from this area or group of people.
But the part that says"..and destroy all the children of Sheth."..is a red flag that got me wondering.
I Chr.1:1 " Adam, Sheth, Enosh,"
1:4 " Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japeth."
Lu. 3:38 "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God."
Gen.5:7 " And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:"
If these sons and daughters of Seth besides Enos' line all perished in the flood, then who is this prophesy in Numbers 24:17 concerning Sheth's children against?
Gen.4:25 "..and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: for God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."
Abel's murder was undoubtedly an attempt to stop the plan of GOD concerning the seed of the woman crushing the serpent's head.
Is this line through Seth that eventually led to the Messiah what the enemy attempted to corrupt, or will attempt to corrupt by the emergence of the a.c. , hence the condemnation of "his" children in Numbers 24 ?
