1. Calvinism - TULIP, eenee, meenee, miney, mo, YOU go to Heaven, but to Hell you go.
2. Arminianism - DAISY, He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he...

Would you (or someone else) care to explain what Arminianism is? I know I can google it, but I don't trust the web for accuracy...

James Armins, also called Jacobus Arminus, was a Dutch theologian who was studied under Reformed Theology of Calvin, Luther, Zwingli, etc. However, in his studies, he came to the conclusion that unlike classic Reformed TULIP, he believe that man was not under Total Depravity, and Irresistable Grace, but instead had free-will to chose or reject the grace of God for salavation. I believe Armins was on to something here, but then he took his thesis too far and also taught that man could, through unbelief, fall from the grace of God and thus forteit his salvation. He threw the baby out with the bath water.
Thank you.

On a number of secular (and 'Christian') message boards, I have been told that I am an Arminian, because I believed in freewill to choose or reject Christ.

Since Scripture teaches freewill, I don't believe in Calvinism's 'chosen to be saved or damned', but I also believe in Eternal Security. What does that make me?
