Hi everyone. I didn't know where to post this so if it is the wrong place then would someone please move it for me. It is just some of my thoughts I wrote on.
Friends.
I have been contemplating this morning on where I would be if I had not found eternal salvation through the blood of a risen Saviour. What a thought! I dread to think of what my life would be like without Him.
I would be like so many are and feel so lost, alone and without hope. Perhaps I would even be suicidal in this age of recession and world unrest and rising prices. I would probably be saying to myself, "Is it worth all the pain and suffering"? Perhaps I would be frequenting bars, clubs and dens of iniquity. Perish those thoughts.
I would be thinking to myself that I had plenty of time left in this world to get myself "right". well dear friends, that is not the case. The Bible tells us....2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
There are many who will say, "well maybe to-morrow", but to-morrow never really comes for when we say to-morrow and it arrives it is to-day. So......2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
This world holds nothing for us and will give nothing back to us. The Lord can and will give you eternal salvation and will give you a home with Him for eternity.
There are those who will worry over what their friends and colleagues will say if they tell them they are "saved". Worry not over what people say and do, man cannot harm you when you belong to God. Words cannot hurt you when you are a child of God.
If the Lord was to return right now, where would you be headed?, upwards to meet Him in the clouds?, or remain here on earth to face the wrath which has to come?.
I am fearful of standing before an Almighty Saviour at the Judgment seat and have to account for every wrong word, thought or deed, on the other hand I am told that as a Born Again Believer I will have all those things purged away by fire and only the good will remain and I will be uncorrupted and righteous. Oh what pain for an unbeliever to have to make account of why they did not accept their free gift of salvation, and then be told "I know you not".
I would ask you all who are reading this and not saved to seriously consider your eternal salvation and to ask The Lord into your heart and see what a change He alone can make in your life.
You don't have to do anything or pay anything or make any drastic changes in your life, the Lord will do this when you put your trust in Him. It is that simple, JUST BELIEVE.
Romans 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Yours in Christ.
