I have several picture files saved in the "File Uploader" that I like to use with my posts. It is cumbersome to access the file uploader, find the right file, create the image tags and link, and copy and paste it into the post every time I want to use a picfile.

So I created a simple text file on my desk top with the link and image tags for the files I use on a regular basis. That way all I have to do is open the text file and copy and paste the link. If there are a number of threads I want to reply to or I plan to be on AVBBF for a little while, I can leave the text file open and alt+tab to it whenever I need a file.

The same thing can be done for smilies that are used on a regular basis, so that you don't have to scroll down the list looking for the one you want.

How do you find a pic again after you've uploaded it and left the program?
I don't have File Uploader at the top right of my stuff. Mine says Image Host. Are these the same thing?

Also, whenever I have to upload a picture, I just hold down the Control Key and click on Image Host at the same time. Then it opens up the image program in a separate window so I can easily copy and paste the code onto the post.
Click on the File Uploader (log in if needed) and click on the My Files link.

It will list all of the files you've uploaded. Then you can click on the box to select the files you use most often and then click the "[IMG] Tags" button and it will display a link to the selected pic files with the [IMG] tag already around the link.

Then copy and paste those into a text file.

Are you using the yellow theme? It says Image Host; for some reason it's the only theme that didn't switch to the File Uploader.
Yes, I am using the yellow theme - and when you upload to that, it has on the very first page of uploading an image:

1) Select the file from your computer.
2) The option to resize.
3) If you resize, you select the pixel width.
4) Upload and then just copy your code.

It is very easy. Don't know if you have those options on the other color themes.
I'm so confused!!!!! Confused

Is "File Uploader," the thing on the top of this page, different than this?

I've never used "File Uploader."
Yes they are very different

No wonder. Doh3
Change your options from yellow theme to one of the other ones and you'll be able to work with the File Uploader.
