I am not sure where to put this whether here or in games, so please move the thread if it should be over there.
The times they are a changing and sometimes it is amusing to recalling how things used to be, whether in the world or in the church.
I'll start off with a few and see if this goes anywhere.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when revivals would last all week and the church was packed out with people?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when real cowboys would take their hats off indoors?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when beverage cans had pull tops and kids would link them together and make chains? And you had to be careful at the beach because if you stepped on one it would cut your foot open.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when it was against FCC rules for television programs to show a couple in bed together, even if they were married and fully clothed?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when kids actually read books and re-read them and talked about what happened in them with their friends?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I think your intent was for folks to add their own to the list. So I moved it to Games. Great idea Brother.

Remember when NO businesses were open on Sunday, not even a restaurant?

Not only add their own, but comment as well, If they remember or don't. No rules or order or anything. Just a casual stroll down memory lane.

Remember when kids were seen and not heard.
Remember when you had to stand up when an adult walked into the room.
Remember when you would freeze to death in your icy bed,no electric blanket.
Remember when you made daisy chains on your way home from school and got thrashed at home for being late.
Remember when noone mowed their lawn on a Sunday because Sunday was a day of rest and peace.
Just one.
Remember when you could go to bed with the front doors and windows open (before central A/C)? No fear of someone entering the house - I do.
Remember when penny candy was a penny and the most expensive treat at the candy counter was a quarter?
Remember when ladies wore hats to church?
Remember when neighbours actually knew each other's names?
Remember when Sunday was the day for family visits because it was a day of rest and no one was busy mowing their lawns and stores were closed?
Okay, my remember when's are going to be a little different...We drove a lot to visit relatives and these car ones stick in my mind:
Remember when cars had a "Mist" button on the blinker that you pushed for your wipers to only go once?
Remember when wipers didn't have a timer?
Remember when you had one key for the doors & trunk and a different key for the ignition?
Remember when the dimmer switch was on the floor and the radio was those large push buttons?
Remember when cars had the large "hump" in the middle?
And, of course, remember when door locks and windows were manual?
Remember when kids used to clamour to ride in the open bed of a pick-up truck?
Oh yes, that describes my first car to a tee. 1973 Cutlass Supreme, I really miss not having the dimmer switch in the floor board.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember when there were no car seats and us kids could take a nap up next to the back window. And if Mom was driving and you were seating up front, you were in danger of her "breaking arm" slamming you into the seat.

That was a little before my time, It would be nice.
BTW, we don't have central Heat or A/C, we leave our doors open a lot, but not after I go to bed.
