1) What's the funniest movie you've ever seen?
Airplane - the first movie

2) What was your favourite TV show when you were growing up?
Little House on the Prairie

3) How many books would you estimate you read each year?
Maybe 20

4) What's the most expensive gift you've ever given someone?
a used Toyota

5) Do you like to sing karaoke?
Yes

6) Would you rather have the power to be invisible or to read minds?
Read minds

7) Did you have a nickname in highschool?
Smitty

William's questions:

1. Of those you have seen, what do you consider the most beautiful building on earth?
The Parliament Buildings: Parliament Hill (Ottawa) or Queen's Park (Ontario Provincial) - they're both beautiful.

2. If an animal were in terminal pain, could you kill it yourself?
No.

3. If God offered to tell you the date of your own death, would you want to know?
No

4. Which would you find easier to explain to a young child: sex, or war? Why?
War - there's less to explain and it's easier to bring down to their level.

5. If, for some cruel reason, you could only know one of these groups, would you rather know your grandparents, or your grandchildren? Why?
Grandparents. It's more personally relevant to me to know where I came from than where the family's going.

6. What do you consider the most beautiful place on earth?
Home.

7. Which grade, from first to 12th, did you find the most painful and traumatic?
grade 8

8. Which grade, from first to 12th, did you most enjoy?
grade 7. Yup, one extreme to the other. It was horrid.

9. Think about this one. Would you describe the day you got saved as the happiest day of your life?
No

10. What is the most irrational fear or phobia that you suffer?
Spiders, centipedes and other creepy-crawlies.
1) What's the funniest movie you've ever seen?
I'd say either "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" or perhaps "The Pink Panther Strikes Again". Either of those still make me laugh, no matter how many times I have seen them.

2) What was your favourite TV show when you were growing up?
One show? That's tough...as a preteen I loved "Emergency", "The Streets of San Francisco" and "The Rookies". The only one I could watch now is probably TSoSF.

As a child, the only time I could watch TV was on Saturdays, so I was a Saturday morning cartoon junkie. I loved "Underdog", "Cecil and Beanie", "Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner" plus more I'm sure I could name if I thought more.

3) How many books would you estimate you read each year?
Secular books? Probably between 20 and 30. That's not counting my Bible reading.

4) What's the most expensive gift you've ever given someone?
I gave a used car to a friend, but it broke down later on, does that count?

5) Do you like to sing karaoke?
Never have tried it, probably never will.

But I do like singing around the house, in the shower, at work...

6) Would you rather have the power to be invisible or to read minds?
Invisible, so I could hide somewhere and be left alone when I need to.

7) Did you have a nickname in highschool?
'Raisin' and then 'Lo'

William's questions:

1. Of those you have seen, what do you consider the most beautiful building on earth?
Seen personally? Maybe the Mark Twain house in Hartford, CT.

2. If an animal were in terminal pain, could you kill it yourself?
I'm not sure that I could.

3. If God offered to tell you the date of your own death, would you want to know?
No

4. Which would you find easier to explain to a young child: sex, or war? Why?
I've not explained war, but I did explain sex to my children, when they asked. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, so I'd probably rather explain it.

5. If, for some cruel reason, you could only know one of these groups, would you rather know your grandparents, or your grandchildren? Why?
Grandchildren. Probably because 1. I don't have any yet and 2. Because I didn't have much of a relationship with my grandparents.

6. What do you consider the most beautiful place on earth?
Where the land meets the ocean...

7. Which grade, from first to 12th, did you find the most painful and traumatic?
Eighth grade, or 10th. Both were horrible.

8. Which grade, from first to 12th, did you most enjoy?
Probably 12th.

9. Think about this one. Would you describe the day you got saved as the happiest day of your life?
The most joyful, yes. Happiest? Probably. I'm not sure that I've experienced happiness greater than the joy I felt that day.

10. What is the most irrational fear or phobia that you suffer?
Cockroaches. The bigger they are, the more I shudder.

Cockroaches. The bigger they are, the more I shudder.

Sick2Sick2

There's nothing irrational about that.
Well, they're only a bug, something I can swat or squish or spray...but I almost get hysterical when I see one, especially when it's the size of my thumb and crawling on my bedroom wall...

...they live outside, here, and fly in at night. I'd be a candidate for the looney bin if they lived in the house. Brrrr.
