I have been posting a lot of political and current events lately. I do this because I believe we need to be informed of what is going on in our country.

Well The Lord has been causing me to ponder a question lately. Are we to be involved in Social Agitation or Spiritual Activation.

We as Christians are as the Jews the salt of the earth in our dispensation. Well it seems the salt has lost its flavour or effectiveness. Is the answer to try and be involved in social activities to try and turn things around? I think not. Our duty is to reach out to the lost, wherever and whoever they are. Only by spiritually activating ourselves and people can we make any change on our churches and homes.

I have read websites about picketing government facilities and stockpiling supplies for when the end comes, written and maintained by Christians.

We are to be in the work of the Gospel, spreading the good news of the free gift of God.

We are not to rebel, but we are to live a quiet and peaceable life, praying for those in authority:

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. " (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Protesting the government isn't our primary reason for being here, it's to tell others about Christ.
