Here is an interesting history story that I found out about a little while ago. Many of you may not be interested, but I sure was! Since we found pictures, I also posted them.
In May, 1909, there was a really bad tornado in the town of Hollis, Kansas. Hollis, at the time, had 150 people living in it. It destroyed the whole town.

Well, anyways, they took some of the wood from this demolished town in 1909, transported it about 2 1/2 miles away beyond a dirt road and built a house with it.

This house was the home of my great grandpa, my grandpa, my dad, and myself. When I left for college, my parents ended up moving about a mile away to a different house and it now sits empty. It's gonna fade away just like all the other old homes in Kansas do. Kinda sad...
Just thought I would share this little nugget of Kansas history. Oh, the population of Hollis: 0. There are still some old buildings, an old schoolhouse, and an old elevator there, but no people!
