As I searched the forums this morning my thoughts led me to think of how much comfort, solstice, healing balm, and encouragement come from wounded Christian "soldiers", from halting Saints, and stumbling Children of God.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. II Corinthians 1:3, 4
It is often from personal tragedy, the death of a child, that God uses us to comfort someone who has just loss a child. Personal tragedy, emotional and physical pain, discouragement, and the like does God sent into our lives. Even when we are still in the midst of it or when we went through it and are on the other side of it, from the beginning or end, when we receive comfort from the Lord then he places us in the position of comforting others.
It has been stated numerous times that I am a encourager and I truly believe that is so, but oft times I am the most discouraged person you'd ever meet. God has turned my life of waste, futileness, and pain (all on going) into a beautiful thing. I have no greater joy than for God to use me to be a lifter of someone's head and to lighten their load.
You know that diamond's are formed from tremendous pressure - they were once a chunk of coal. Now they are the hardest substance known to man and the most brilliant and beautiful. Next time you are under pressure just think of yourself as "a diamond in the rough"

Ronnie. You are right in what you've said here because you're speaking from experience, and you know of what you speak.
