I was reading from Streams in the Desert and I noticed the name J.R. Miller listed as a very regular contributor to that devotional. Since those particular entries are ones that speak to me regularly, I Googled him and found an entire site devoted to his writing! I feel like I just stumbled upon a particularly encouraging gold mine! A site like this is possible because, since he died in 1912, his work has passed into the public domain and is no longer under copyright.

Quote: J.R. Miller D.D was considered by many to be the most gifted and popular devotional writer of his era. There are several sources, on the Web, for Miller's works, but non is complete, so I felt it incumbent on me to gather all his works into one place. I have given due credit to these sources on separate pages. When I started this project, I did not realize the size of the task. During his lifetime Dr. Miller wrote over 80 books and pamphlets. My list of these works grows each month. So far I have collected only a few of his books and only two dozen have been published electronically. It might take several years to gather all of his works and publish them on the Web. The following is the current index to all works on this site. There are now over 1,800 chapters of Rev. Miller's works on line.
