(Reuters) - U.S. researchers estimate that an 18 percent tax on pizza and soda can push down U.S. adults' calorie intake enough to lower their average weight by 5 pounds (2 kg) per year.

OK, now they have gone too far. taxing pizza and soda. Pizza is the perfect food. Crust=bread group, Vegetable Toppings=Veggie group, Meat Toppings=Meat group, and Sauce=necessary spices to promote healthy circulation and lowered cholesterol. You have to have soda to was it down. Coca Cola is preferred when eating pizza.

Tax and control Drugs, Liquor, Cigarettes and other vices. But leave my Pizza and soda alone.

Ummmm, I love a good pepperoni pizza, I try to treat myself to one every friday. Right you are BullDog.

I do have a question though in the poster it talks about rural electrification. What is wrong with that. We in the rural areas like our lights and such.

Now they can tax the pop.. but can the tax the ingredients to make pizza yourself? I say add a 20% tax to anyone who has income from an elected office.

What about tax on airtime for politicians? 20% sounds about right.

And even the POTUS is not exempt. :biggrin:

Like an extra 75 Cents to 2 dollars is going to curb anyone's Pizza and Soda intake! The real motive is pretty obvious ($$$)!
