There are two ways to upload pics or attachments

Using the attachments in the forum you are limited to what you can upload in terms of size, plus it puts it in a thumbnail (I think you are limited to a certain number of attachments as well)

OR

You can use the new AVBBF image hosting

This is a quick solution for when you want to share an image that you found with others

goto http://foto.avbbf.com

Click on choose file and locate the file on your computer. Alternatively, you can host the image if you found it on another server that doesn't allow hotlinking by clikcing the "remote" button and putting in the URL.

Click upload

It will give you the forum bbcode (under the link directly to image).

and you can copy and paste that into a thread.

That way, you can have as many images as you want in a post, and they are all hosted on this server!

God bless

Will this work with a personal pic that lives on my computer only, that is, not somewhere like photobucket?
Yep, just click "choose file" and then upload. But it is mainly for using on the forum, since it gives you the forum link at the bottom, which you can cut and paste into here. It's not a gallery as such.
Thanks. I just meant for use here. That puppy is heart meltingly adorable. Heart
Kewl idea, Luke, I'm going to try it as soon as I get my puppy pictures back from the developer!

BTW, anyone notice how Luke likes dogs? Especially little dogs?

Yes, and Cassjade likes big snarly dogs. This is a very doggish place....

Luke (or anybody who's done it), how do we access the pics once they're uploaded?

Confused

I have been trying to figure that out too Brother.

I used this today and it worked except my pics turned out to be huge. They were even bigger until I uploaded again and specified the pixel size but they're still big. Sorry. I think the huge, huge ones are still there and I don't want to hog space so is there some way to get rid of the ones I didn't use? Thanks.

I tried it out today, too, and noticed the same thing: two of my pictures were incredibly large! I'm going to resize them and try again.

I have noticed, too and have had to resize some of them and then re-upload them. Smile I absolutely love how easy the uploader is - much easier than photobucket. Biggrin
