One of my coworkers has a friend who is a forest ranger out west. They had been getting complaints about a BIG wolf that was attacking livestock. He didn't believe the reports till he saw it one day over a dead calf and mistook it for a bear. It took off running. The next time he and his trusty rifle were ready!

Wow, that is a big wolf. All we have around here are mangy coyotes, that thing is bigger than some of the deer we have.
Wow, that thing's a monster! Are they sure it's not some sort of wolf-bear hybrid?

That's amazing.
Wow! Where out west was this? They reintroduced Mexican grey wolves in the eastern part of Arizona, but this looks much bigger than that, although the ponderosas in the background look familiar. I'd hate to run into that thing in the dark!
WOW, look at the size of that thing! That was my first thought: it's bigger than some of the deer around here!
I looked on snopes, but didn't see it verified as fake or real.

However, there were some interesting hoaxes exposed, one involved a 115 pound wolf/dog hybrid that was huge. However, the picture can be subtly altered just by taking the photo from a low angle, making the animal look bigger than it is.

So, is it real? :dontknow1:

Here's a really interesting story, with pictures, of a coyote that got caught in a car's bumper after being hit on the highway...you've got to see the pictures...amazing:

Googling "big wolf" took me to a couple of hunting forums with different stories claiming it was shot in Drayton Valley, Alberta by a bear hunter and in Gogoma, which is in Northern Ontario. :dontknow1:
Sounds suspicious to me... Toetap

a wolf that big reminds me of the joke about two hunters walking through the woods talking about such a big wolf. The one hunter asks the other, "What would be your last prayer request if we saw a wolf that big stalking our trail?" to which the other hunter replied, "A new pair of running shoes." "Do you really think you could out run that big wolf?" the first hunter asked, "No, I wouldn't have to, I'd only have to outrun YOU!" Smile
