I don't know who wrote this, there is very little information about it online. At "namethathymn.com" a guest poster claims their niece Paulette Riddle from Ashland, KY wrote it. Anyway, its a good song. Also, I was not able to find a vid clip for the song, so please don't laugh too hard (I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself), I made a first time video recording. Took me all day to figure out how to record and upload, the quality stinks, I will try and re-record it later. Well here it is.

WHEN HE SEES ME

v1
Looking down through the ages God beheld the dying soul,
Sin had brought separation, nevermore could man be whole.
There must come a Lamb, one who's blood alone redeems,
Bringing gifts to the Father of our souls made white and clean.

CHORUS:
And when He sees me, He sees the blood of the Lamb.
He sees me as worthy and not as I am.
He views me in garments as white as the snow,
For the Lamb of God is worthy and He washed me, this I know.

v2
So He left that holy city, travelin' on to the cross.
Just to bridge the gulf to glory and to rescue all the lost.
By His blood He entered into the throne room of our God,
And on the mercy seat He placed it, salvation for us all.

Excellent job, brother!! Your little recording is reminiscent of my practice vids when I record myself on my laptop and no, they do NOT make YouTube! They don't even stay on the puter for more than ten minutes....

That is a good song. Where did you find the chords for that? Please send me a chord chart!
I like the words, thank you. Some day I'd like to hear the music, too, but that probably won't be until I get a new computer. Smile
Most excellent Daniel.I really enjoyed your singing and your interpretation of the song.

Awe come on, if I can muster the courage to put a clip online anyone can.

I had an old cassette tape of the Do Right Duet singing the song, I copied the words from the text and figured out the chords as best as I could. I've been singing it at church for years. I will see if I can attach a text file with the chords. I tried to make a post with the chords, but it takes out all the spaces and the code tags don't format it right.
Let's see if I can get this to work.

This should be a text file containing the words and chords. Let me know if you can't open it.

Well thank you, now I can't take credit for the interpretation, that belongs to the Do Right Duet. They are awesome. My tapes are worn out, I need to see if the bookstore still carries their tapes.

Woo-hoo, thanks so much! No problems opening the file; I've saved it and printed a hard copy!

Wow, I just now discovered this thread. I couldnt believe I missed it. Then I looked at the post date and realized where I was and what I was doing when it was posted. And when I did come back on a computer I had so many unread threads I just marked them all read and started with the ones from that time on.

This is an awesome song and really spoke to my heart. You did an excellent job on it Brother Daniel. I enjoy good simple singing with guitar accompaniment. I know that is how Laura also sings in church and would love to hear her as well.

I have to thank googlebot for showing me this thread, he was reading it on the who's online page and I didn't recognize the thread title so checked it out.

Of course we know who really led me to it. Thank you Jesus for showing me this.

Lord bless you muchly,

gary
:woowoo10: I just got a chance to listen to that on my computer at work (it has sounds!) and I love it.

I'm going to send your link to our choir director: I think he might like us to do this one. We've a piano player who can figure out the music if he can hear it.

God is so good!!!
