Who here likes photography?

Tell us why, what your favorite things are to photograph, what equipment you have, etc.

And post photographs that you like, whether you took them or just borrowed them off the web.

Have fun!

Ronnie

My favorite subject is Historical Baton Rouge. I have a digital camera and I couldn't right now tell you what kind it is except it is a 12 mega pixel one.
I started taking pictures when I was about four or five, on the sly, with my mother's Brownie:

My parents kept the pictures I took, of the ceiling, the books in the bookcase, etc. I think I still have a few...

The viewfinder was on top of the camera. You had to look down through the top in order to see what was in front of you.

My first camera was a Flash fun by Kodak. It took 127 film that came in a roll, and I had to rip open the foil pouch and load the film into the camera in the dark:

Remember the smell of the fresh film?

My sisters got Instamatics about the same time. Those were great because the film was in a cartridge: all you had to do was drop the cartridge in and shut the door:

What was your first camera?
We love photography, but have never made the plunge to medium format due to the cost. We have experimented with slides and black and white. I'll post a few of the photos we have taken if I can find them. Smile

Mogollon Rim, Central Arizona
Backyard Flowers. My wife took this one.

One more. Mogollon Rim from Payson, AZ. The Rim has a height of 2,000 feet, for reference.

I love those pictures of the Mogollon rim. L'Amour wrote that it was pronounced "Muggy-own".

I bought a used Instamatic, and took pictures for a couple years with it before I got my next camera, a rangefinder:

That camera took the best pictures of any camera I have owned. After about fifteen years of use, the range finding mechanism stopped working correctly, and I couldn't find anyone to fix it for me. :(
Pictures I took back in 2002, at a King James Jubilee.

Anyone want to guess who the guest preacher was??
